¡Venga y acompáñenos a la posada de Bayer Farm! ¡Habrá comida, bebidas calientes tradicionales, actividades para niños como piñatas, aguinaldos y mucha diversión! Traiga un platillo o postre para compartir si lo desea y no se les olvide traer sus propios platos, vasos y utensilios para reducir la cantidad de basura. Vengamos juntos/as a compartir y celebrar de estos días festivos y fortalecer nuestras alianzas comunitarias. 

¿Qué tal si llueve? El evento se llevará a cabo con lluvia ligera, pero lluvias fuertes podrían cambiar los planes. Si tiene duda, llame a la línea de información al 544- 7284, y oprima 1, después de las 5:00pm. Si no hay un mensaje especial, seguiremos con los planes.

Que Traer: 

• Platillo de comida o bocadillos (opcional) para compartir y sus propios platos, vasos, y utensilios reusables para ayudarnos minimizar nuestro impacto al ambiente  
• Ropa calentita para la ocasión, una cobija, silla, o algo en que sentarse  
• Instrumentos musicales si así lo desea

• Este evento es gratuito, y donaciones son bienvenidas  
• Favor de traer sus propios vasos, platos, cucharas o tenedores para minimizar la basura. 
• Le pediremos que firme un formulario de libertad de responsabilidad  
• ¡No se permiten mascotas o fumar en el evento y absolutamente no se permiten mascotas fumando! 
• Habrá dos baños portátiles disponibles.

In a nutshell, a Posada is a series of 9 traditional fiestas (celebration) that lead up to the Noche Buena (Holy Night), rooted in strong Catholic influences inherited from Spain; slightly similar to the 12 days of Christmas celebrated in some homes throughout the states. So, as part of the end of the year celebrations we will be hosting a community Posada for our families, friends and neighbors to come together and build stronger community ties through this beautiful Mexican cultural event. We will have Pozole, a traditional hominy soup, warm beverages served during this time of year and piñatas and goody bags for the children! 
 

What if it's raining? We'll go in a light to medium rain but a heavy rain may affect our plans - if in doubt, call our Outings Line at 544-7284 (then press 1) after 5pm. If no special message, it's a go!

What to bring:  

• A potluck dish to share, along with your own reusable utensils, cups, and plates   
• Warm clothing for the night 
• A blanket or something to sit on 
• Musical instruments, if you’d like  

What to expect:  

• There is no fee for this event, and donations are welcome  
• We ask that you bring your own re-usable dishes to help us reduce our waste and impact on the environment  
• You’ll be asked to sign a liability waiver upon arrival  
• No smoking, no pets, and of course no smoking pets!
