A Special Day of Stewardship and Stories of the Land w/ Executive Director Craig Anderson 

Saturday, March 7th, 10am-3pm

Please scroll down to the bottom of this page to register.  This event will occur in light drizzle, but a torrential rainstorm will cancel.  Please call 707-544-7284 (then press 1) after 7am the morning of the event if it is questionable.  If there is no cancellation notice, the event is on.

 

Join us for a special day of stewardship at Riddell Preserve with Executive Director Craig Anderson. We’ll spend the morning tending the land together.  In the early afternoon, we’ll break for a warm meal, provided by LandPaths, in the property’s lovely cabin with its views of Healdsburg’s Dry Creek Valley. Over lunch, Craig will share stories from the land. 


No experience necessary.  LandPaths will provide necessary tools, but feel free to bring your own if you have them. Useful tools include gloves and knee pads.

Meeting Time,  Location & Directions:

We will meet at 10:00am at the parking lot of the City Corporation Yard at 550 Westside Rd, Healdsburg, CA 95448.  We will carpool to the preserve from the City Corporation Yard and get back to the parking lot by 3pm.  

 Directions to the Corporation Yard parking lot-  
From Highway 101 North, take the Central Healdsburg Exit. and make a slight left on Healdsburg Avenue.  Turn left onto Mill Street.  Continue under the highway overpass as Mill Street turns into Westside Road.  The Corporation Yard parking lot will be on the left immediately before the bridge crossing at the intersection of Westside Rd and Lucius Way.  There is a "Corporation Yard"  sign at the entrance to the parking lot.          
   
From Highway 101 South, take the Westside Exit and turn right on Westside Rd.  The Corporation Yard parking lot will be on the left immediately before the bridge crossing at the intersection of Westside Rd and Lucius Way.       

What to Bring:

Water bottle, backpack, clothing layers that can get dirty
Sturdy boots or shoes that can get muddy
Long pants recommended 
Work gloves (we have extras if you don't have any) and eye protection
Hat and sun screen

We will be hiking approximately 3 miles throughout the day.
 You will be asked to sign a liability waiver.
There is a restroom on the property
There is no potable water available on the property but we will bring drinking water to fil up your bottles
No pets or smoking are permitted.
