Lead: Meghan Walla-Murphy & Coby Leibman
Cost: $400/person and children over 12yrs. (2-3 work trade/scholarships available)
Cost includes: Three days of guided treks, lunches, recipes and wild foraged ingredients.
For Who: This Trek is geared towards people who love to walk beneath the open skies for the better part of the day and – over the course of several days – feel that they are actually traveling across a landscape. This trek may also appeal to local food lovers, people who enjoy cooking with friends, people who want to learn wild tending techniques, and those who want to give thanks to the local ecosystems. One need not be an Olympian to make the hike, but be in shape for several days of walking; the pace is completely doable for anyone who is in shape to walk. We carry only a knapsack with layer, water, optional camera and a portion of the ‘trail lunch.’ Children 11 and up that are hearty walkers are certainly encouraged to join their adult parent or caregiver.
What to Bring:
- Daypack, water bottle, pruning sheers, 3-4 reusable or plastic bags for storing foraged ingredients or a basket of some type, and a small shovel for digging.
Sliding scale payment in exchange for volunteer time may be available. Email outings@landpaths or call (707) 544-7284 with questions!
