~ The Great Charlie Brown Christmas Tree Hunt ~

Saturday, December 14th, 2019

10:00 am - 2:30 pm   (two time slots available)

*Enjoy a hike at beautiful Ocean Song*

*Hunt for your favorite non-traditional Christmas Tree*

*Bring a picnic to enjoy in the Ocean Song Garden*

Bring your family to Ocean Song, outside of Occidental, to find your non-traditional Christmas tree for this holiday season. LandPaths welcomes you for a very special opportunity to find solace in nature alongside others in your community (from a safe distance!), as we work together to heal - both ourselves and the land. Harvest a free Christmas Tree and help our fire reduction work at Ocean Song at the same time! Folks will be invited to remove Douglas fir in an area of the preserve where thinning is necessary for stewardship of the land. Participants will be able to take home a Doug fir for their Christmas tree! You are invited to harvest as many trees as you like. Lots of different sizes available and while these are NOT manicured trees like you may purchase at a Christmas Tree Farm, they are filled with meaning and love. In harvesting this tree, you will have helped fire reduction work for this land at the same time!  Trees are free but donations appreciated :)

Please scroll down to the bottom of this page to register! Event may be cancelled if there are heavy rains. Please call 707-544-7284 (then press 1) after 8am the morning of the event if the weather questionable. If there is no cancellation notice, the event is on.

Once you register for your time slot, you will recieve an e-mail before the event with directions to the preserve.

People will need to hike at least 0.5 mile to the area where we will be harvesting trees. Trees are off-trail on uneven ground and poison oak is present throughout harvest zone. You must carry your tree back to the parking area.  This is not a manicured tree lot!
