please scroll down to register

Get your binoculars ready and join us as we explore the 330 beautiful acres of Carrington Coast Ranch, which has been owned by Ag + Open Space since 2003. On this hike we'll explore the coastal grasslands while learning some of the basics of birding with experienced birder, Dave Barry. This amazing property, just north of Bodega Bay, boasts views of the ocean & Salmon Creek while protecting habitat for threatened species such as the American badger, California red-legged frog, and Townsend's big-eared bat.

Where? The Carrington Ranch Property is on the east side of Hwy One at Salmon Creek State Beach north of Bodega Bay.  From Sebastopol, take Bodega Hwy. west to Hwy. 1, turn right on Hwy. 1 and drive through Bodega Bay.  Just north of the Salmon Creek beach main parking area, look for Coleman Valley Road (road dips down here & the street sign is often missing).  Turn right (east) onto Coleman Valley Road and take your first right into the ranch parking area (through a green gate).  The Carrington property is approx. 50 minutes from Santa Rosa.
