at the Bohemia Ecological Preserve

Give nature a hand! Come and join us at the stunning, 1,000-acre Bohemia Ecological Preserve for a day of stewardship, community-building, a bit of exercise and some fun!

This special bonus workday will focus on French broom removal and native shrub planting!

No experience necessary.  LandPaths will provide other necessary tools. If you have any tools at home, you may bring them.  No power tools please!

Meeting Time,  Location & Directions:

We will meet at 9:00 am at the Grub Creek enterance to the preserve, located at 6407 Bohemian Highway. You will be met by a representative of LandPaths and we will carpool to a location closer to the worksite.

Directions to Bohemia Ecological Preserve – south gate: The south, or 'Grub Creek' entrance to Bohemia Preserve is located on Bohemian Highway approximately 3 miles north of Occidental.  From the intersection of Graton Road and Bohemian Highway, drive north on Bohemian Highway for approximately 2.5 miles.  A wooden sign reading '6407' will be marking the entrance.  

Staff or volunteers will be at the entrance to direct you to parking.

What to Bring:

Picnic lunch, snacks & water, backpack
Sturdy boots or shoes that can get muddy
Work gloves, eye protection
Hat and sun screen/ Raingear

Details Details:

You will be asked to sign a liability waiver.
There is a porta-potty on the property
There is no potable water available on the property.
No pets or smoking are permitted.
