iREAD Outside at the Ranch

Sonoma County Ag + Open Space & LandPaths welcome you to a FREE exciting, outdoor, literary adventure geared towards young children ages 0-6 and their families/caregivers. We will enjoy the beautiful Duckworth Ranch, (including the animals!), take a short hike, play nature games, and engage in read alouds of well-known nature-based books related to the land we are exploring. Pre-registration is required.

Location: Duckworth Ranch- 2950 Canfield Rd Sebastopol, CA 95472

What to bring:

• Water bottle for the day

• Comfortable shoes for walking

• Sun gear and weather appropriate clothing

• A lunch and snacks for the day 

• You, and your child's favorite books! 

Details and what to expect: 

• You will be asked to sign a liability waiver upon arrival

• Please leave your pets at home.

• This is a family-friendly event. Young children of all ages are encouraged to come and read outside!

• These  outings are brought to you in partnership with Cradle to Career Sonoma County’s iREAD campaign, and with generous funding through the Sonoma County Community Foundation’s iREAD grants program and additional support from the Ag+Open Space.

What if its raining? We will continue in a light rain but will cancel in case of heavy rain. If in doubt, please call 707-544-7284 (then press 1) after 8am on the day of the outing. If there is no special message, the event is on!

Sonoma County Ag + Open Space & LandPaths le dan la bienvenida a una aventura literaria al aire libre, emocionante y GRATUITA dirigida a niños pequeños de 0-6 años de edad y a sus familias. Disfrutaremos del hermoso Duckworth Ranch (¡y sus animales!)
tomaremos una caminata corta, jugaremos juegos de la naturaleza y haremos lecturas en voz alta de libros bien conocidos y basados ​​en la naturaleza relacionados con el tema que estamos explorando.

Que traer:

• Botella de agua re-usable

• Sombrero, bloqueador solar

• Vístase con varias capas de ropa apropiadas para el clima

• Habrá baños portátiles 

• Este es un evento familiar. ¡Se anima a los niños pequeños y sus familias de todas las edades a venir y leer afuera!

¿Qué tal si llueve? Si hay llovizna ligera seguiremos con el paseo, si hay lluvia fuerte/tormenta el paseo será cancelado. Favor de llamar al 707-544-7284 (y después presionar 1) después de las 8am para confirmar la cancelación del viaje. Si no hay un mensaje de cancelación, entonces el evento sigue en marcha.
