Spring family exploration and picnic 

Bohemia Ecological Preserve

Join LandPaths staff and docents for a family-friendly hike and afternoon picnic at Bohemia Ecological Preserve.  We will walk up to Hut Hill, exploring plants, insects and rocks along the way.  At the top, spread your picnic blanket, take in the views and play with your family and new friends in an open meadow with stunning views.  Children are encouraged, but please be aware that we will be hiking about 1 mile and gaining 450 feet of elevation (at a family-friendly pace), so your children should be old enough to walk this on their own or young enough to be carried.

Location: Bohemia Ecological Preserve, 6773 Bohemian Hwy, Occidental, CA 95465

What to bring:

• Picnic blanket and picnic meal/snacks for your family, if you desire

• Comfortable shoes for hiking

• Snacks and a water bottle

• Weather appropriate clothing

• Sun gear- sunscreen, sunglasses, sunscreen, etc.

• This outing is family-friendly, and kids are welcome to participate
• We will be hiking about 1 mile and gaining 450 feet of elevation (at a family-friendly pace)
• Registration required
• We ask that you leave your pets at home 
• What if it's raining? Any steady rainfall beyond sprinkles will call for cancellation. If in doubt please call (707) 544-7284 (then press 1) after 11:00 PM on the day of the outing. If there is no special message the event is on!
