Wonderful Wildflowers of Bohemia

Bohemia Ecological Preserve, Occidental

Join us for a morning exploration of Bohemia’s wonderful wildflowers. We will saunter through the riparian, woodland, and grassland habitats of the 1,000 acre-preserve looking for various colors and shapes of native flora that call the preserve and Sonoma County home. We will enjoy a 2-3-mile hike, stopping in search of native flowers in bloom during the early summer months- such as Mariposa lilies, Western Azaleas, Farewell to Spring, and Red Ribbons!  

What to bring:

  • A water bottle and snacks for the day
  • Weather appropiate clothing 
  • Sun gear- sunglasses, hat, sunscreen, etc. 
  • A notebook/pencil

What to expect: 

  • There is no restroom on our route, but plenty of facili-trees
  • You will be asked to sign a liabilty waiver upon arrival
  • There will be no smoking, no pets, and of course no smoking pets!
  • What if its raining? We will continue in a light rain, but will cancel in case of heavy rains or winds. If in doubt, please call 707-544-7284 then press 1 after 7 am on the day of the outing . If there is no special message, the event is on!
