Full Moon Hike along Saddle Mountain

LandPaths and the Ag+Open space district invite you to welcome in the night with a full moon hike along Saddle Mountain. We will time our hike to catch the sunset from the top of the mountain and make our descent under the light of the full moon. Once on the saddle, we will take in the view from the top of the mountain, where Spring Lake, Taylor Mountain and almost all of Santa Rosa Plain are visible. Bring your picnic dinner, flashlight, and some friends for this special evening adventure.

Location: Due to limted parking at the preserve, we will be arranging a carpool from a nearby location to the preserve. We will leave our cars there, and caravan over to the preserve in the least amount of cars possible. More details will released upon registration. 

What to bring:

• A picnic dinner and some snacks
• Warm clothing in layers
• A blanket or something to sit on 
• A flashlight, if you'd like
• Walking stick 
• Camera 
• Insect repellent 

What to expect:

• There is no charge for this outing. It is made possible by the voters of Sonoma County who funded the District’s work with a quarter-cent sales tax, in partnership with the District’s non-profit partner, LandPaths.  
• Once at the preserve, we will begin our hike during the sunset, and climb to the top of the mountain where we will eat our picnic dinners
• We will stay together as a group, and early departures cannot be accomodated 
• We ask that you leave your pets at home for this event 
• You will be asked to sign a liabilty waiver upon arrival
