Join us for a morning of beginner’s birding at Bohemia Ecological Preserve. Please note: This is not a hike, but a slow walk (includes considerable incline). We will meander through the property slowly, looking for and observing all the birds we encounter. However, for those with mobility issues, please be aware that we will be walking up a steep gravel road and around uneven terrain. This is a birding walk geared toward beginners and the bird-curious, but all skill levels are welcome. We will share tips on using binoculars and field guides, teach techniques for locating birds, point out bird vocalizations, and share bird ID field marks for some of the common summer and year-round species. We want to inspire participants to get out and appreciate the bird world!
Location: Bohemia Ecological Preserve, 6773 Bohemian Hwy, Occidental, CA 95465
