Join LandPaths, Ag + Open Space, and farmers Sarah and Seth for a walking tour of their beautiful Open Field Farm, known historically as the Burns property and protected forever by Sonoma County Ag + Open Space. We’ll take a tour of the farm, yhen enjoy a picnic lunch. Open Field Farm is an organic, bio-dynamic, diversified community-supported farm in Petaluma, raising grass-fed Corriente beef, pastured eggs, chickens, mixed vegetables, flowers, herbs, and grains. All of their food is distributed through a robust Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program.
Where: 2245 Spring Hill Rd, Petaluma, CA 94952. At the entrance, look for the stands of Eucalyptus trees, and staff to direct you to parking.
What to bring:
- Your own lunch for the day
- a water bottle
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Sun hat, sun screen, sun glasses, etc.
- Cash, if you would like to support the farm by buying some organic produce or flowers!
What to expect:
- The tour will be led by farmers Sarah and Seth James
- To walk on mostly flat, varying terrain
- You will be asked to sign a liabilty waiver
- No smoking and no pets please
