Join LandPaths and Apis Arborea for a stewardship experience as we install log-based hives in the canopy of trees at Ocean Song Preserve to help our honeybees thrive! This beautiful 400-acre property located in western Sonoma county was recently acquired by the organization in 2019. Home to native coastal grasslands, canyons, pristine ponds and streams, mixed oak woodlands, redwoods, and acres of garden and farmland; Ocean Song preserve is home to a breath-taking abundance of plant and animal life.

Apis Arborea was founded to honor the essential role of bees in sustaining life on our planet, and to ensure the health and survival of bees, and thus, all beings. Focusing on existing wild honey bee populations, two locations on the preserve have been identified suitable to set up self-populating nesting habitat. Tree based hives promote bio-mimicking for the preservation of wild honeybees who are endemic naturalized in the US, by mitigating the loss of their life and nesting habitat. Participate and learn from an expert on ways to re-envision how we live with bees.
