LandPaths les da la bienvenida a una aventura literaria al aire libre, emocionante y gratuita para niños/as de edad 0-6 y sus familiares/guardianes. Disfrutaremos de una lectura al aire libre y una corta caminata por el jardín. Al fin de la lectura, todos los niños/as recibirán una copia del libro que leamos. Nos estaremos renuniendo en Bayer Farm, 1550 West Avenue, Santa Rosa CA. 95407, abajo del árbol de nuez.
Este programa de yoLeo Afuera usalmente es parte de nuestro programas de verano en Bayer Farm. Es una oportunidad especial para salir al aire libre y conocer el jardin. Los expertos están de acurdo en que leet en voz alta a los niños/as es lo más importante que un padre puede hacer para ayudar a sus niños a ingresar al kinder. Incluso hay evidencia científica que sugiere que pasar tiempo al aire libre contribuye al aumento de la memoria a corto plazo, libera endorfinas para ser más felíz, mejora el enfoque, aumenta el sistema inmunológico y mucho más.

Estacionamiento es limitado, favor de buscar estacionamiento en la calle sobre la West Ave y después caminar al jardín; estaremos al lado de la granja roja. 
Que Traer: Lo que ocupe para estar cómodo.
-una botella de agua reusable
-zapatos cómodos que se puedan ensuciar
-ropa para todo clima
Resumen de actividad: Una hora y media de diversión al aire libre y lectura en voz alta. Al fin de la lectura los participantes se llevarán un libro para agregar a su coleción.
-Les pediremos que firmen un acuerdo de liberación al comienzo del evento.
-No se permite fumar en el jardín ni traer sus mascotas.
-No hay baños en el jardín. Hay un baño portátil en la parte del parque.
-Este evento es gratuito gracias a la colaboración entre la Ciudad de Santa Rosa sus amigos en LandPahts.

iREAD Outside: Stories in the Garden
at Bayer Farm, every Friday

LandPaths welcomes you to a FREE exciting, outdoor, literary adventure geared towards young children ages 0-6 and their families/caregivers. We will engage in an out-loud reading experience at Bayer Farm, in the heart of Roseland, and take a short walk through the garden's bounty. All children will walk away with a free, bilingual book to add to their collection at home. This event will be bilingual; pre-registration is required.
This iREAD Outside program is a "pop-up" opportunity to get outside with your child. *The majority of the iREAD sessions happen every summer as part of the Summer at Bayer Farm programs. This is a special opportunity to get to know Bayer Farm and engage in out-loud story hour in the garden. The iREAD Outside program provides opportunities for families to combine a love of reading with a love of being outdoors. Our goal is to increase the percentage of family members reading to children daily, while at the same time encouraging children and families to explore nature and get outside together. According to the Department of Education, the more children read and read to, the more success they will have in their academic trajectory. iREAD Outside story time offers an opportunity to model reading out loud to the children, explore Bayer Farm and foster a love of books! If you have never visited the park and garden, this is your chance!
Where: This event will take place at Bayer Farm, 1550 West Ave. Santa Rosa, CA 95407.
Due to limited parking, please find street parking along West Avenue and walk to the garden. We will be meeting by the red barn.
What to bring: Anything that will make you and your child comfortable. (*Special Note: If you have books that your child has outgrown, or simply wish to donate some children's book to the program, please bring them with you on this event or bring them to our office! These books will get redistributed in future iREAD events and at the iREAD mini library at Bayer Farm.)

What to expect: An hour of fun outside reading outloud and surrounded by the wonderful plants and critters of the garden. Please note that there is no restroom at the garden. There is a portatoilet on the park side. No smoking or pets allowed in the garden. You will be asked to sign a waiver upon arrival. This event is free thanks to the collaboration between Alliance Medical Center-Health Education, The Community Foundation and your friends at LandPaths.
