It's LandPaths' 25th anniversary!
We are celebrating all year long, including the making of a special film. In addition to filming this stewardship work day's events, a local videographer will be hosting a "Story Booth" throughout the day, and we want to hear from you! We invite and encourage you to share memories, stories, and reflections about your experiences with LandPaths. Our team will provide prompts and questions to support your storytelling.

Lend a hand to ensure that this unique wild space continues to be a healthy and flourishing habitat for our native plants and animals, as well as a place for our human community to gather and find solace in the majesty of the redwood forest.
This beautiful preserve was the first property stewarded and owned by LandPaths – it’s one of the only privately-owned wildland preserves in Sonoma County that is publicly accessible and free to all. Your work to steward the Grove helps us in both protecting the biotic integrity of this special place and allowing the public to enjoy it!
This workday will focus on trail maintenance around the preserve.
Where & When:
Please arrive early to ensure a start time of 9am.
We will work till about 12:30, before stopping for lunch.
What to Bring:
Facemask, hand sanitizer, sturdy boots, work gloves, water and re-fillable water bottle, lunch for yourself and an optional snack to share, weather appropriate clothing in layers.
Directions to the Grove
Make your way to the town of Occidental and look for Coleman Valley Road – the main road exiting the West Side of town. Continue along Coleman Valley Road until the road makes a sharp turn to the right. Go straight (do not continue on Coleman Valley Road). You are now on Joy Road. Take Joy Road for approximately ¼ mile where you will turn right on Fitzpatrick Lane.
Proceed slowly on this narrow winding lane. Please remember to give right of way to vehicles traveling uphill. Stay on Fitzpatrick Lane approximately 5 minutes; the road banks to the left over a cattle grate, and up a moderately steep hill. The Grove will appear on your right. Follow the paved road along the Grove to the parking area on the right.
If you are driving from the local area or know others attending this workday, please consider carpooling to reduce the vehicle impact to Fitzpatrick Lane. Thank You!

Donde cuando:
Llegue temprano para asegurarse de que la hora de inicio sea a las 9 a.m..
Trabajaremos hasta aproximadamente las 12:30, nos detendremos para almorzar y trabajaremos durante una hora más o menos.
Que traer:
Botas resistentes, guantes de trabajo, agua y una botella de agua que se pueda volver a llenar, botanas y almuerzo para usted, ropa adecuada para el clima en capas, mascarilla, desinfectante de manos.
Direcciones al Grove
Diríjase a la ciudad de Occidental y busque Coleman Valley Road, la carretera principal que sale del lado oeste de la ciudad.
